Han sido entregados los BAFTA, esos premios británicos al cine, en los que normalmente se ven sorpresas bastante más a menudo que en los Oscar. Aunque este año, nos vamos a tener que aguantar, porque 'The Artist' se ha llevado casi toda la gloria, dejando un poco de lado a grandes obras como 'Hugo' que sólo se ha llevado algo en aspectos técnicos, como 'Harry Potter', que se ha llevado el galardón por sus efectos especiales.
Almodóvar se ha vuelto a llevar un premio a Mejor Película de habla no inglesa, una "alegría" para el cine realizado en España. Sin embargo quien se lleva un palo es Alberto Iglesias, que no ha podido ganar en la categoría de Mejor Banda Sonora.
